Our paragraph topic is: (Jerusalem's impending destruction) Part 6.
A parable, a lesson for us to learn today, told thousands of years ago. Be prepared. Be aware. Impending destruction is coming. We have been warned. Pass the word down to our children and our children's children so that they will also know the warning and be prepared. For we must be ready at all times to look for the signs that he has told us would come.
They didn't know then and we don't know now when this may happen. We have fires everywhere, hurricanes, terrible floods, even earthquakes like never seen or heard of before in different parts of the world or even in neighboring states or communities. Are we ready? Are we prepared? Could this destruction happen to us? Christ had told us: "It is near, even at the door."
If it came tomorrow would you be ready? If it comes today are you ready to open the door? Our time is unknown to us. The wherefore is unknown to us. The how is unknown to us. only that the certainty of it will happen is known to us and that is our destiny is known to us is what is real. Everyday that certainty is happening all over the world with gauranteed numbers and one day ours will be one of those numbers.
Read the sign of the times! Read the Highlighted New Testament Bible and lift the scales from your eyes that you may see, that you may know, that you may find the truth of who you are in Christ. Read it as though you would read a good book, from cover to cover, and see for yourself. Do not study it in parts reading one passage and then skipping to another, but read it for understanding. Read it for knowledge. Read it for faith. Read it that your eyes may be opened, that your ears may hear, that your heart may be filled with the light of Christ . The Holy Spirit awaits you. Christ seeks to know you. Open the door and let him in.
