Our paragraph topic is: (Conclusion of the sermon) Part 4.
We finish up this paragraph topic with the final part with Christ telling us about the ruined house that was built upon sand. The rains fell, the floods came, the winds blew and beat against the house and it fell, and was utterly ruined. Here, Christ gives his prediction as to what will happen to those who are foolish and do not heed his warnings. Their house will fall. The winds of destruction will blow against them. The rains of tribulations will fall upon them and they will not know how to solve the problems. The floods of temptation will come again and again until their houses fall. The winds will beat at their relationships and toss them from relationship to relationship and they will be like feathers in the wind. There will be no foundation.
Without action upon the word, life is placed upon a slippery slope. Life will find itself upon a foundation that is changing with the under currents of the world. There will be no foundation for love. There will be no foundation for peace. There will be no foundation for justice. There will be no foundation for wisdom. There will be no foundation for service. There will be no foundation for charity. There will be no foundation for understanding. There will be no foundation for faith. There will be no foundation for trust. There will be no foundation, for the foundation will be defined by the World.
The World will define love. The World will define justice. The World will define peace. The World will define wisdom. The World will define faith. The World will define trust. And the definitions given by the World meets the needs and the desires of the flesh. The definitions of the World have no basis upon which to build. The definitions of the world build upon fulfilling the passions of itself, an ever repeating cycle of passion and lust. Like the decay of the flesh, the definitions of the World are like grains of sand that pass through our hands never allowing us to capture true life.
And the World will perish. Just as we are perishing daily, walking towards death as our final destination. The World is perishing also. The World is on the path to destruction. It is built upon the sands of time and when God decides that time has ended, the world will end.
Take heed to these words. They are our instructions as to how we should live our lives. They are our instructions teaching us how to create a foundation in our lives. They are our lesion plan for ourselves and our children. They are the keys to the kingdom of heaven that our heavenly Father wants to give us that opens the door to our mansion in heaven. They are the badges of courage that we wear here on earth that label us with salvation. Keep these words. Make them a part of your life. Hold them dearly in your heart.
